Orlando’s Pineapple Festival 2026: Puerto Rican Party in Lake Nona

Puerto Rico’s “Festival de la Piña Paradisíaca,” a celebration of the island’s culture and traditions, brings a Puerto Rican culture party to Lake Nona this weekend with its annual Pineapple Festival.
Orlando party band Latin Wave promises to deliver high-energy, authentic live Latin music, while stilt walkers, a DJ, and traditional Puerto Rican Bomba dancers add to the festive atmosphere. Attendees can look forward to a variety of cuisines from food vendors including Irene’s Cookie Boutique, Mango Kings, Tower Cake Shop, and Criollisimo.
Lake Nona’s annual event is inspired by Puerto Rico’s festival, which celebrates its rich agricultural traditions and specifically honors the pineapple, the country’s national fruit, according to BoricuaOnline.
Pineapples served as a key food source to the Taino people, and the fruit has become “a symbol of the island’s agricultural strength.” In Barceloneta, Puerto Rico, where the original Festival de la Piña Paradisíaca is hosted, BoricuaOnline says pineapples are seen as a way of life.
The Pineapple Festival takes place Saturday, June 6, at Lake Nona Town Center, from 5 to 10 p.m. And neighboring Boxi Park, a 30,000 square-foot outdoor entertainment venue within the Town Center, promises entertainment throughout the weekend, June 5-7.
